BOQ Engineer (Entry Level)

Job Description

Perceptive Ideas Consulting Engineers is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated BOQ Engineer to support quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, and technical documentation for civil and structural projects. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, quantity take-offs, and construction drawings. This role offers an excellent opportunity for freshers and early-career professionals to gain practical exposure in estimation, costing, and project coordination while working with an experienced and collaborative engineering team based in Delhi NCR.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from civil and structural construction drawings
  • Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), estimation sheets, and material summaries
  • Review project drawings and specifications for accurate quantity calculations
  • Support the technical and estimation team with project documentation and reporting
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely BOQ preparation and submission
  • Maintain project records, quantity data, and estimation documents systematically
  • Assist in material analysis and basic project costing activities
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards
  • Support project coordination and follow-up activities when required
  • Handle multiple tasks within project timelines efficiently
  • Support HR and accounts teams with basic administrative tasks
  • Monitor office supplies and coordinate procurement when required
  • Ensure smooth functioning of office operations and facilities
  • Maintain data entry and update company records accurately
  • Provide general administrative support to management and staff
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Basic understanding of BOQ preparation and quantity surveying concepts
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Office
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities

  • 0–1 year of experience in BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, or related civil engineering roles
