Perceptive Ideas Consulting Engineers Pvt. Ltd. has completed the structural design for Aurika – Luxury by Lemon Tree, Udaipur, a hospitality project located within the Aravalli hills. The firm was appointed as the structural design consultant for the development, which is built on steep and geologically varied terrain.
According to the firm, the structural planning was carried out in response to the site’s natural contours, with terraced construction used to reduce excavation and maintain slope stability. The project involved addressing variable soil conditions, including weathered rock and uneven bearing capacities, through a combination of deep piling, rock-socketed piles, and pile integrity testing.
Hill stabilisation measures, including retaining structures, soil nailing, and engineered drainage systems, were incorporated to manage slope safety during construction and long-term use. Structural systems were also adapted to suit the terrain, with column placement and foundation design optimised to limit disturbance to the hillside.
